Evie’s Book Swap Network hosts small little libraries across our community. You can pick up a book at any book swap and replace it when you’re finished at any book swap stop.
The network started with the original Evie's book swap and you can learn more about the history on their stop page and on our blog.
Wordfest wants to make more stories available to everyone, stories that help us escape for a while, stories that make us laugh and feel cosy, stories that help us understand what we are going though, stories that help us find courage and hope, stories to share with our little ones and stories and books that help us learn.
The network is not a trail walk like our other trails, but that doesn’t stop you visiting them all in one trip!
Each book swap is hosted by a different person or group who manage the content in the library. If you see something wrong with one of the book swaps, please contact us and we can get in touch with the host.
The Pocket Park Book Swap Stop is our biggest stop and sponsored by the Calne Lions, leading to more funding from the Area Board to bring more book swaps to Calne.
Made by volunteer Denis, you can explore the book swap any hour of the day and find out a lot more about the Calne community and our history from this spot.
Check out the Pocket Park Tale Trail on this app, discover more about Priestley, play a giant game and if you’re lucky, join in with one of their excellent events.
